Stalker: trout where did you find 200 acers to hunt on?
jam2000: We made 2 raised blinds at our camp. They're great
marty: what did you use for supports jam??
Trout: Same place I turkey hunt I know an old cattle farmer I have hunted there for 3 yrs
jam2000: We set 4 cedar trees, the size of small utility poles. Then bolted them together with 4X4's
Stalker: that's the way to did it trout. You can scout the one while hunting the other
marty: thats a good idea I was thinking about 6x6 buried in the ground with some cement about 3 feet in the ground
marty: get them about 14 foot tall
Trout: You can use 4x4s treated and build it just like a deck Plant some vines around it
Stalker: My brother just stacked up pallets to make a raise blind
marty: would 4x4's hold the weight with the blind and me and my daughter
Trout: One 4x4 will support about 2300 lbs.
jam2000: Mine were about 25 ft'rs. We built a floor and then built a regular enclosed blind on top of it. We left a "deck" on the back so we could get on the roof
marty: wow I guess it will hold me he he he
Trout: so if you have 4 it will support close to 5 ton
Trout: The Hilton :)
Stalker: You guys talking about a blind or a cabin
marty: I might put in two the new ten I bought is going to be cut next week so have to get up high to see over the brush
jam2000: We had to X them between the poles to stabilize it.
marty: yea trout I seen a fellows hilton last year you could hold a suare dance up there
marty: square dance
Trout: Hey make it nice you may have to hide out with the grandson ;)
marty: nope if she comes over here I sic my dog on her besides she would be trepassing and I call the law he he he
Trout: Make it so you can keep the coons and bear out
Stalker: sounds like my cousin's about 20" feet up and 10' X 10'
marty: yea I do have a truck load of coons on my place dont know about bears
Trout: One big happy family hey send her over to Jims for a visit
marty: yea or drop her in the woods for a couple weeks
jam2000: Mine's 17 ft. up and 6' X 6'
Trout: I'm gonna start shooting my bow early this year
Stalker: I Saw a Sow and two cubs while turkey hunting
marty: I got to go see him I got some turkeys feather for him
jam2000: I shoot my bow every day in my basement
Trout: cool were they close?
marty: \I want to rig mine up so I can bow hunt out of it too
Stalker: To Close About 25 yards
Trout: Your lucky jam I don't have room here
jam2000: I didn't want a long house, but my husband didn't want a 2 story. Now I'm glad
marty: I dont want to get close to no bear unless he stuffed on someones wall
Trout: I stand in the living room and draw it back minus the arrow
jam2000: That's good for keeping your muscles in shape
jam2000: What bow do you shoot?
Trout: I shot my be at about 35 yds
Stalker: it was neat. first bear i hav seen in the wild
Trout: Recurve 58 #

Trout: I've got everything to make my own arrows just don't have the time
